Service History
What gets published to vessel owners, privacy rules, and company-private data.
Last updated: February 2026
Overview
Service history is the vessel-level, owner-visible record of work performed on a vessel. It is separate from your company's internal work order data. Nothing is shared with a vessel owner automatically — Company Admins must explicitly publish a service summary after a job is complete.
What Gets Published
When publishing a service summary, you choose what to include:
- Title (required when publishing)
- Description of work completed
- Completion date
- Invoiced total (optional)
- Selected photos (optional)
What Stays Private
The following information is never shared with vessel owners and is always company-private:
- Internal notes and chat
- Labour rates and hourly costs
- Profit margin calculations
- Time entry details (individual hours logged)
- Internal material costs
How to Publish a Service Summary
From a completed work order, click Publish to Owner.
- 1Review the summary details (title, description, completion date).
- 2Optionally include the invoiced total.
- 3Select which photos (if any) to include.
- 4Click Publish.
Publishing is a one-time action per work order. You cannot un-publish a service summary once it has been published.
