Logging Time

Manual time entry: date, start/end/duration, notes, and work order selection.

Last updated: February 2026

Overview

Time entries record the hours worked against a specific work order. They are the basis for T&M billing and utilisation reporting.

Who Does This

Both Technicians and Company Admins can log time entries.

Logging a Time Entry

Open the work order and navigate to the Time tab, then click Log Time.

  1. 1Select the date the work was performed.
  2. 2Enter start time and end time, or enter duration directly (e.g. 2.5 hours).
  3. 3Optionally add a note describing what was worked on.
  4. 4Click Save Entry.

Editing Time Entries

Time entries can be edited by the person who logged them while their weekly timesheet is still a draft (or has been sent back for changes). Submitting your timesheet locks its entries; if it is approved they stay locked, and if it is rejected they unlock again so you can fix and resubmit.

Company Admins can view all time entries across the team and can correct a submitted or approved entry from the Timesheets view when needed — correcting an approved entry reopens it for re-approval.
