Capacity Planning
FTE tracking, identifying overloaded technicians, and daily vs weekly hours.
Last updated: February 2026
Overview
Capacity planning helps Company Admins understand whether their team has the bandwidth to take on new work. The schedule view shows daily and weekly hours assigned per technician.
Reading Capacity Indicators
Each technician row in the schedule view shows:
- Daily hours — the total hours of work orders assigned to each day.
- Weekly hours — the total hours assigned for the week.
- Overloaded indicator — a visual warning when a technician's assigned hours exceed their standard hours for a day or week.
Standard Hours
Standard hours are set on each team member's profile and reflect their contracted or expected working hours (e.g. 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week for full-time). These are used as the baseline for the overloaded indicator.
Managing Overloaded Technicians
- 1Look for the overloaded indicator on a technician's row.
- 2Review the work orders causing the overload.
- 3Reassign one or more work orders to another technician by dragging on the schedule.
- 4Or adjust the start date to spread work across more days.
