Add & Edit a Vessel

Creating, editing, and archiving vessels, and what happens to linked work orders.

Adding a Vessel

Navigate to Vessels → Add Vessel or use the + Quick Add button → New Vessel.

  1. 1Enter the vessel name (required).
  2. 2Enter the registration number (required).
  3. 3Select the vessel type.
  4. 4Fill in optional fields: HIN, year, make, model, berth/location.
  5. 5Click Save Vessel.

Editing a Vessel

Open the vessel record and click the Edit button (pencil icon) in the top right.

  1. 1Update any fields you need to change.
  2. 2Click Save Changes.

The vessel UID (VO-XXXXX) cannot be changed after creation.

Archiving a Vessel

Archiving a vessel removes it from active lists but preserves all its data and work order history. Archived vessels can be found by filtering the vessel list to show archived records.

  1. 1Open the vessel record.
  2. 2Click the More Options (⋮) menu in the top right.
  3. 3Select Archive Vessel.
  4. 4Confirm the archive action.

Archived vessels cannot receive new work orders. Existing work orders remain accessible and are not affected by archiving.
