Logging Materials
Adding material usage to a work order: quantities, unit cost, and search.

Overview
Materials used on a job are recorded in the Materials tab of the work order. This creates a record of what was used and updates the work order cost summary.
Logging a Material Entry
Open the work order → Materials tab → Add Material.
- 1Search for the stock item by name or scan its QR code.
- 2If the item does not exist in your catalogue, you can create it inline.
- 3Enter the quantity used.
- 4Confirm the unit cost (pre-filled from the stock catalogue, editable).
- 5Click Save.
Creating Stock Items Inline
If you need to log a material that is not yet in your stock catalogue, you can create it inline from the material logging form without leaving the work order. The new item is saved to your stock catalogue for future use.
